Returning to school safely

On behalf of our school community, we offer our condolences and support to the many families and community members affected by the fires.

We are expecting all schools to be operational by the time school starts. Any non-operational schools will be listed on the school safety page so please check before the start of Term 1.

Taking care

These unprecedented fires have affected many students and their families in different ways. Every affected school will have appropriate mental health support on hand for both students and staff.

Read the department’s Advice to assist parents, teachers and students following recent fires.

The NSW Government’s Bushfire customer care service provided through Service NSW is also available to help those affected by bushfires to find assistance and support across all levels of government.

Transport

Transport NSW has information for parents and carers about school travel for bushfire impacted communities. You can also check the Live Traffic website for any road closures around your school.

Assisted School Travel Program (ASTP) services are currently running. However, the situation will be monitored closely for any changes.

How you can help

It’s at times like this that our school community pulls together as one. Your support is always greatly appreciated. If you want to support the recovery effort, donate at givit.org.au.
