The Girls Academy program works within the school system to drive community-led solutions aimed at reducing the barriers that prevent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls from completing their education and reaching their full potential.
The Girls Academy program targets Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls in Years 7 - 12, however it is also open to non-Aboriginal girls.
Students who become members of the Girls Academy are eligible to participate in extra-curricular activities during and after school. The Girls Academy program caters for Narromine High School girls by offering a range of activities, rewards and events to engage students and assist with participation in school as a result of building confidence and character through the program.
