Uniform Requirements
It is expected that all students will wear uniform, as designated by the P&C. The issue of safety is paramount in schools. Clothing must satisfy the requirements of a school setting and allow the curriculum to be met.
Macquarie Clothing sell our sports shorts and the boys' formal uniform. Lowes in Dubbo sell boys' and girls' formal uniform. The yellow and blue polo shirt, woollen jumpers and sloppy joes can be purchased from the school. Students may wear jumpers gained when representing at NSW public schools state or regional competitions on sports days and to NHS carnivals.
Uniform can be purchased from Macquarie Clothing or Lowes in Dubbo.
Junior Boys
- yellow and blue NHS polo shirt
- shorts can be any style in navy blue as long as they are an acceptable length. Small logos acceptable
- winter pants can be drill pants or tracksuit pants as long as they are navy blue. Only small logos are acceptable e.g. small Canterbury, Nike or Adidas logos.
- winter jumper can be any style e.g. woollen NHS jumper, crew neck sloppy joe, navy jackets etc. They must be navy without slogan. The NHS logo is the only logo approved to be on jumpers.
Senior Boys
- shorts can be any style in navy blue as long as they are an acceptable length. Small logos acceptable
- white polo shirt or yellow and blue NHS polo shirt
- winter pants can be drill pants or tracksuit pants as long as they are navy blue. Only small logos are acceptable e.g. small Canterbury, Nike or Adidas logos.
- winter jumper can be any style e.g. woollen NHS jumper, crew neck sloppy joe, jacket etc. It must be navy without logos
Junior Girls
- NHS check pleated skirt.
- shorts can be any style in navy blue as long as they are an acceptable length. Small logos acceptable.
- yellow and blue NHS polo shirt or light blue shirt or plain light blue polo shirt may be worn. NHS school logo can be on the shirt.
- winter pants can be drill pants or tracksuit pants as long as they are navy blue. Only small logos are acceptable e.g. small Canterbury, Nike or Adidas logos.
- winter jumper can be any style including woollen NHS jumper, crew neck sloppy joe, jacket etc. It must be navy without logos.
Senior Girls

Shoes
- Black leather lace up, or leather joggers. Joggers must not be bright colours e.g. all bright pink, green, yellow etc.
- When participating in practical subjects (science, cooking, agriculture, art, wood and metal work) covered leather shoes must be worn.
