NHS Celebrates R U OK? Day

On Thursday, 12 September 2024, students and staff were encouraged to show their support for R U OK? Day by simply wearing a yellow accessory. Students and staff wore a touch of yellow which varied from bracelets, ribbons, face paint and hats. Special mention goes to NASCA's Lakesha Hedger who spent the day wearing a big banana costume.

The NASCA girls had a kindness to others activity for students and staff to participate in. It involved writing positive comments to yourself or others on yellow smiley faces. For recess they ran a hand ball competition out in the playground seeing the winner of the game getting a $10 lunch voucher to spend at the canteen. At lunch time the opened up the NASCA room to all students and staff for yellow treats and a dance party.
